Acuerdate Que Tienes Que Pagar Group's story

Bacilia is 39 years old and she lives with her husband and their 9 children. Seven of the children got to school, and the older 2 support the household expenses working in fishing and the girl works in a restaurant.

Bacilia's husband also works in fishing with their son.

Bacilia has, for several years, also worked in fishing, seeing in this work the means to subsist, due to the lack of employment opportunities in the area.

Bacilia does various jobs - fishing, buying and selling fish, and selling mazamorra [milky corn] in the streets of her town.

With this new loan, she will begin raising chickens. She will invest in the purchase of nets to produce more in the shellfish harvest.

She wants to be a wholesale shellfish vendor in the area, and sees FODEMI's action as an opportunity to better herself and support her children's education.

Bacilia is part of a group of 11 people organized in the work with hope of improving their community.

In this group: Gabriela, Maria Elena, Maria Bacilia, Prudencia, Luz Andrea, Blanca Italia, Juana Esther, Luis Miguel, Daniel Domingo, Maryury, Dorcia Irene
