Evarista's story

Evarista is 27, married, and has one son. She sells clothing and shoes and in addition she also sells various brands of beverages. She has operated her business for over 6 months and has a steady clientele. She takes orders in some cases. Her principal supplier of shoes is located in the zone of Mercado 4 in the capital Asuncion.

Evarista comments that she started up her business selling all types of brands of beverages about three years ago. This allows her some additional income especially on weekends in in the summertime. This allows her to help her husband with family expenses and it also covers her son's education.

With the loan she has requested from Fundacion Paraguaya she will invest a portion of it into the purchase of beverages, and the other portion will be used for the purchase of clothing and shoes for the summer season. The capital which she will receive will allow her to keep her business well-stocked so that she can fill the orders of her customers.
