A loan of $350 helped personal use, education expenses for her son.

Rosalina's story

Rosalina B. P. is part of the "Mujeres Yungainas al Progreso" Communal Bank in the province of Yungay.

Rosalina is 31 years old and has two children with her partner. It has been hard for her to recover from the death of her parents 4 years ago, but she has had to make an effort for the good of her children. With her work she has been able to build her home as well as buy a small cart for her job and furniture for the family. For the past 8 years she has sold food from a stand on the second floor of the city of Yungay's central market. When she started out she invested around S/. 1,000 and now she has a total of more than S/. 3,000 invested and has had very few problems with the business.

With this loan for S/. 1,000, which will be repaid in six installments, she will invest in her son's education: he has just finished a level in school.

Rosalina thinks she needs business training so that she can improve in that activity.
