Theun's story

Theun T. is 35 years old and a resident of Banteay Meanchey Province. He makes a living by purchasing used goods to store for recycling and re-sale. He has been running his business for over eight years, and he currently earns a profit of approximately US$ 6 per day. He is the farther of two young children; both of them attend school.

Theun T.'s wife, Oul Savean, 40, is a rice farmer as well as buying rice to store and re-sell, earning an income of around of US$ 5 a day. To enlarge these businesses and earn extra money, T. has requested a loan to buy more used goods to recycle. He will use the remainder of the loan for his wife to order additional rice for re-sale.
