She finished elementary school but for health reasons she did not continue studying. She got married when she was 17 and has 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls, all of whom are students. She has a business located at the corner near her home where she sells snow cones, cakes, jello in the morning, mazamorra [a type of corn porridge in Peru] in the afternoon and hamburgers at night. Her first loan for 200 soles, paid in four payments, was used to buy sugar, ice and other materials. With this loan of 1,700 soles, which will also be repaid in 4 payments, she will invest in materials to make mazamorra and ice for snow cones. Gladys dreams of living happily surrounded by her family.
