Rachana's story

Mrs. Rachana S., 29, lives in a nuclear family with her husband, Mr. Ramesh S., and one daughter in Khapichhen, Lalitpur. Her husband works in a medical shop and her daughter is now just 11 months old.

Mrs. S. makes different types of woollen sweaters. She took 2 months' training for this work. She sells woollen sweaters to sweater dealers. Mostly, foreigners love hand-made woollen sweaters. So nowadays, the demand for these sweaters is constantly increasing and she is very busy weaving sweaters.

Mrs. S. is requesting a loan in the amount of Rs15,000 to buy different varieties of wool for weaving different woollen sweaters. She wants to save her earnings to provide a good education for her daughter because in Nepal the cost of education is very high.
