Sok Khim's story

Mrs. Sok Khim C. is a villager in Ta Sen village in Kampong Cham province. She is a rice middleman who buys rice to keep in stock and re-sell later at a better price. She wants to expand because all farmers are collecting the rice revenue during rice harvesting season. Thus, she decided to ask for a loan to purchase more rice to keep in stock and re-sell later. She hopes to increase her income and provide a better life for her family with this new loan.



Her husband, Mr. Leng Ean, has a motorbike taxi and can make a small income to support the family. Mrs. Sok Khim C. is 56 years old and the mother of a child who is a fruit seller in the market. Her husband is presented with her in the picture.
