Rufiji Group's story

Rehema, who is a single woman and a mother of two kids, is aged 30s. Her kids are at school. For five years now, she has been managing a business selling charcoal and firewood. She is able to order a half lorry of firewood and 26 sacks of charcoal and is able to make a good profit each month. Rehema works from 6 a.m. to midnight daily.

From Tujijenge Tanzania, this is her second credit request to be apportioned to Rufiji, a group with three members. She manages to repay her previous loan successfully. Rehema used the previous credit to buy sacks of charcoal and firewood as she planed. Her business now starts to gain and she believes after some period, she will be able to manage big stocks. She received an extra income which she used to cover school fees and part of home expenses.

Rufiji’s members will held accountable for paying back the loan. Rehema will use this credit to buy stocks for her business.
