A loan helped to cover the costs of planting another manzana of coffee fields.

Francisco's story

Francisco is 36 years old, he's married and he has 2 children. He lives in a town in the municipality of San Juan, Lempira. Since he was very small he has made a living cultivating basic foodstuffs like corn and beans and 12 years ago he decided to grow coffee. He produces parchment coffee which he sells at a local market.

In order to increase his production, he has requested a loan of 18,000 Lempiras to cover the costs of planting another manzana [1.72 acres] of coffee fields. His goal is for his children to finish their studies and to leave them a source of work.
