A loan of $700 helped purchase of firewood and coconut residue for re-sale.

Rose's story

Born in Lomé in 1961, Mrs. Rose S. has been living alone with her three children since her divorce from her husband. Tireless and devoted to her family, she struggles daily to support her children. Since she was not able to come to terms with her enormous daily difficulties and worn down by them, she began selling firewood and coconut residue which is very much in demand in her area. However, she has moments where her stock is expended and her clientele's demand for firewood is continually growing.

In order to have a bit more working capital and bolster her business, she is requesting a loan that she will use to buy firewood and such, items she will retail in her neighborhood. This loan will allow her to satisfy the needs of her clientele, grow her sales and, especially, improve the living conditions of her family.
