Ana Maria's story

Ana is a member of the Sumaq Huayta Village Bank; “Sumaq Huayta” means “Beautiful Flower” in Quechua. Ana is 38 years old and lives with her partner and their six children. Ana sells vegetables in different villages around the Ayacucho region, where she travels three times a week, and buys grains in the towns she visits. Ana Maria needs a loan of 2000 soles to buy grains and vegetables. Ana’s dreams are to improve her business, to have more investment capital, and for all of her children to graduate with professional degrees.
