A loan of $800 helped to add items to her grocery’s inventory.

Keo's story

Keo S., 33, is married and lives with her husband and three children in the Kampong Cham province. She works in a grocery store, making around US$3 each day. Her husband works as a teacher and makes about US$1.50 each day. Food prices have soared in the past year as inflation has gotten out of control in Cambodia. Unfavorable climate conditions have also contributed to making the price of rice very high. Keo S. is asking for a loan of US$800 to add items to her grocery’s inventory. She is confident that this will be a good business venture and sees it as a tool to increase her income and raise her family’s standard of living.
