Julia's story

Julia has been a member of the "Mujeres al progreso de Juli" communal bank for 6 years. She studied until the fourth grade, is married and a mother of 9 children. She lives in the community of Vilcallami, Juli district, Chuchito Province, in the department of Puno. With her first loan of 300 Nuevo Soles she purchased wool and cloth for embroideries. She buys and sells handicrafts (embroideries) to take to Puno and also works raising baby animals. With this loan of 600 Nuevo Soles, which will be repaid in 4 months, she will purchase wool and cloth. She will also invest in raising chickens. Her only desire is to continue ahead with her business.
