A loan of $3,950 helped a member operational expenses.

Risitas Group's story

The group, Little Smiles, is represented by Mrs. Zulema. She is single with three children, just as the other women of the group are mothers with children under the age of five. The members are young, dynamic, responsible, and have goals for advancement. A majority of the group sells different types of products such as chicken, cereals, fabric, cosmetics. Others bake bread, sew clothes, and proviD. public transportation. The members have plenty of experience in their areas, so they know how to gain a competitive edge in the market. In general, the members don't have experience working in these types of groups, and this is their first microloan, but they feel capable of fulfilling their responsibility to Kiva partner Fundacion Agrocapital and to the other members of the group. This loan will lead to increased income and (the purchase of) more products to sell and improve the members' ability to do business.

In this group: Zulema, Paulina, Eugenia, Benita, Mariela, Grinelda, Teresa, Ketty, Juan Lucio, Samuel, Margarita Claudia, Patricia, Juana*, Juan, Maria Luisa, Ricardo, Julio Abel
