A loan of $275 helped repair cart and increase food sales.

Yesica's story

Yesica is 20 years old and lives with her 24-year-old husband, Humberto--a driver--and their two daughters, 4-year-old Joselin and 11-month-old Shamely. She sells "salchimote", a simple corn and sausage dish, from a small cart, which her customers visit regularly. What Yesica likes about her work is that she is able to stay with her two small children, but the most difficult part is having to transport her cart and daughters from their home in Cabana to the city of Juliaca, almost an hour away. Yesica is seeking her first loan from Microfinanzas Prisma. She will use the money to repair her cart and to buy more produce to increase the number of dishes she can sell.
