Alfredo is 30-years-old and lives with his wife and two children. He has been a farmer for 10 years, since the time of his marriage. This work enables him to support his family and it is for this reason that he works so hard and with such determination. He enjoys planting potatoes and corn on his land and he likes harvesting even more because this is when he can see and appreciate the high quality of his products. In his city, the sale of potatoes is profitable depending on the quality of potatoes produced. In general, the production of potatoes in his area is good and there is a great demand for them. The most difficult part of the business is planting season, especially with the cost of fertilizers that are necessary for good yield. This is Alfredo’s first loan through MFP; he plans to purchase fertilizer for his potato fields.
