Amy Aladji's Group's story

This group of 28 women belongs to the village financial association created on April 11, 2010. It is composed of members who live in the same village and its surrounding area. They help one another and their businesses are retail and animal husbandry.

Mbackhe, who is standing with her hand raised in the picture, is 33 years old. She is married and has six children, two of them boys.

She plans to have a commercial business and to fatten animals. With the loan, she will purchase vegetables, spending 15,000 F on them weekly. She will also purchase three rams at 50,000 F a head, as well as cattle feed to fatten them. Once they have been properly fattened, she expects to resell them for 100,000 F a head.

Profits will be used to improve her savings and pay for her personal expenses.
