A loan of $650 helped buy fertilizer for her fields.

Elizabeth's story

Elizabeth is 43 years old, and lives with her children. She has been a farmer for as long as she can remember. Her parents taught her everything they knew about farming, and their knowledge helps her carry out her work. Elizabeth works constantly, planting wheat, potato, and quinua grains. As soon as she finishes the harvest Elizabeth brings her products to sell in the main market of the city, though transportation costs have increased. Elizabeth earns enough to sustain her family. This is her fifth loan with MFP, and her experiences have helped her significantly, enabling her to improve her economic situation. This time Elizabeth will invest in fertilizer, and also repair part of her home.
