A loan of $325 helped purchasing a freezer to keep ice popsicles.

Yecica's story

Yecica, 37, lives with her common-law husband and two children in her parents' house. She used to be a homemaker, but a year ago she started working in the school cafeteria. She prepares the daily menu for the teachers and students. Yecica enjoys this activity because of the good profits it generates, and because she likes to be in contact with people. What she finds most difficult is that she does not have an assistant, especially during recess, when sometimes the students take candy without paying.
This is Yecica's fifth loan through Kiva partner Microfinanzas Prisma. She has always made her payments on time.
Yecica will use the loan to purchase a freezer to make ice popsicles and sell them.
