A loan of $525 helped to purchase supplies to make rosquillas (ring-shaped pastries).

Rosa Maria's story

Doña Rosa is 42-years-old and lives in a neighborhood called Sabana Grande in the capital of Managua. She has two children who are 6 and 14, who are in primary school. Her husband is a farmer. Señora Rosa has sold baked goods like perrerreque and rosquillas (types of pastries) for five years. She started with her own funds. With the loans that Afodenic has offered her, she has managed to support herself in the market with the competition. This is her second request, which she is going to invest in supplies to make her delicious rosquillas, which she will offer to providers like supermarkets so her business can grow. In the long term, she wants to build another oven to better make her products. She also hopes to help her children with their education.
