Naripragati Shg Group's story

Sundarmani is 26 years old and lives with her husband and her four children. Sundarmani is running a small grocery shop that she started two years ago to support her family. Her husband helps her to bring grocery items from the market, as he is a farmer involved in vegetable cultivation. Both earn 4,000 INR per month, which is very low. That is why she wants to expand her business to earn more money for her children.

Sundarmani has formed a self-help group called Naripragati Self-Help Group (SHG) with nine other women from her village. All members of this group are engaged in different kinds of activities such as vegetable cultivation, milk selling, flower selling, etc., and all are very responsible and loyal towards their businesses.

Sundarmani, along with her group, has requested a loan amount of 150,000 INR. She will use her portion to purchase more grocery items such as sugar, oil, biscuits, rice, etc. She wants to educate her children, give them a better standard of living, and save some money for her future.

In this group: Sanamati, Sundarmani, Laxmi, Tulsa, Basanti, Jayanti, Daimati, Janamati, Sanamati, Chandrama
