Roger M. is 40 years old, married, and one of the banana growers in Calinan District, Davao City. He began his banana farm in 1996 by renting a 1/-hectare piece of land. The produce was delivered to Minda Maing, a banana wholesaler and buyer in his town. During harvest, he hires workers to help him transport his produce to the area where he sells his produce. His wife and siblings help him run the business and have been thankful for CEV credit assistance to improve their yield.
He is requesting a loan to purchase fertilizers, insecticides and seedlings. Bananas are his main crop and these products will help him produce more. He an active CEV client who has access to the credit assistance, trainings and insurance benefits the organization offers.
