B. is a mother of five children. Though very disappointed when her husband sold her crop farm without her knowledge and the whole family suffered from hunger, she chose to make it work. She joined GHAPE and took her first loan and started Buyam-sellam of huckleberry. With this she provided her community with vegetables and minimally provided for the needs of her family. Later she diversified her activities; she bought a pig and start crop cultivation. Unable to pay school fees and buy books, she decided to pay apprenticeship fees for some of her children to learn vocational skills.

Given a loan of $400, she plans to rent a piece of land to farm, buy seeds and sticks to repair her pig fence, and to continue country-nja-ma-jama (huckleberry) activity. She plans to pay her loan in 18 months. First loan repayment installment shall be made on the fourth month from the date of disbursement of the loan.
