Juana De La Cruz's story

Juana de la Cruz García is 41 years old and single. She has two children. Her older son is 18 years old and is repeating his fifth year of secondary school. Her younger son is 14 years old and in his third year of secondary school. Juana would like to maintain an active, secure business so that she can give her sons a promising future. She hopes that her sons will graduate and wants to provide them with a house that they can freely enjoy.

Juana has been making and selling tortillas for 10 years. She started this business buy herself with some relatives who live on a farm. She started making tortillas in her home and neighbors would come by to purchase them. Later she decided to establish her business to sell her tortillas more widely. Juana will use the loan to buy firewood, now that a cart costs 840. She'll also buy corn in 100kg bags because its more feasible, and thereby generate income for her family.
