A loan of $7,050 helped a member to buy three bags of semolina, one bag of sugar, 50 kg of sorghum, and 75 kg of cassava root flour.

Umoja/kavumu Group's story

Madame Nzigire is the treasurer of the Umoja/Kavumu loan group. She is the mother of seven children, six of whom go to school. Her husband is 34 years old and unemployed.

She has been selling flour for 15 years in the central market. It's for this reason that she's asking for a loan for three bags of semolina, one bag of sugar, 50 kg of sorghum, and 75 kg of cassava root flour. Her goal is to open a stand on a national driving route.

She thanks Hekima for the support they bring to economically active poor women.
