The Village Bank consists of six members who reside in Lvea Sor Kandal Village in Kandal Province, each planning to use their share of the loan for different purposes. Elected by the members, Mrs. Chhon S., a 51 year-old-widow and mother of a child employed in a garment factory, is the group leader. Chhon is a farmer who owns a plot of land upon which she cultivaT. both rice and vegetables to earn a living. As well, she is a vegetable seller.



Since this business is going well, she wants to expand it and so is requesting a loan to buy more vegetables to sell.
