A loan of $525 helped to buy wax pagnes to sell.

Adiara's story

Mrs. ADIARA was born in SIKASSO in 1962. She is married with five children. She lives with her husband and children as a traditional family in SANOUBOUGOU I, a working-class district of the city of SIKASSO, 3rd administrative region of the Republic of Mali.

Having attempted many different activities without success, this brave woman started to buy and sell wax pagnes three years ago. She buys her stock at the grand market.

To meet the needs of a growing customer base, she is seeking financial assistance from the microfinance institution Soro Yiriwaso for the 4th time. All past loans were correctly repaid.

This loan will allow her to buy 15 pieces of wax pagnes to retail at the market, cash or credit, to a clientele consisting of both men and women.

Mrs. Adiara expects to earn an average monthly profit of 36,000 FCFA, which will allow her to repay the loan and interest, and to bolster her savings.
