Johanna

Nicaragua
Managua, Nicaragua / Food Market

A loan of $375 helped to purchase condiments and various merchandise to supply her store.

Johanna's story

Señora Johanna is 24; is married; and has two beautiful children, who are 6 and 5. One of them goes to school in their neighborhood. Her husband works in a market in the capital, which is called the oriental market. He has his own hardware store there. Doña Johanna has had a grocery store for 3 years, which she started with money her husband gave her. This is her second loan with Afodenic, which she will use to invest in inventory since her store has few products. She hopes to buy a lot of condiments to season food for the Christmas season since her customers require a lot of them to prepare chicken. In the long term, she would like to expand her business to sell all types of products like clothing and shoes so she can educate her children.
