A loan of $375 helped to buy organic fertilizer for cocoa and plantain crops.

Ider's story

Ider is a young entrepreneur. He is a single 26-year-old and lives in San Martin with his family.

Since an early age, he has helped his brothers get ahead in life by supporting his family with the work on their small farm. With a lot of effort, and saving as much as possible, he was able to buy a piece of land and today works on the production of cocoa and recently also plantain and corn. To have an additional source of income, he also works as a laborer in other agricultural fields in the region where he lives. He does well due to his excellent performance.

Ider is very thankful with the Kiva lenders because with their support he will buy organic fertilizer to maintain his crops and will be able to obtain an excellent production during the harvest season. Thanks to this, Ider will continue to work arduously and save to be able to buy more land and expand his production, which will allow him to get his family ahead in life.
