Djebeleton 3 Group's story

The ten members of the Djebeleton3 group are married women who are on average 36 years old with three children. They all live in traditional families in Tamaro, one of the villages in the Dah circle of San in the fourth administrative region of Mali.
They collaborate with the Siri Yiriwaso micro-finance institution in order to manage their agricultural affairs through the winter.
This is their fourth loan from the institution, the previous loans were repaid.
Sali grows peanuts, she is the woman sitting in the middle in the photo.
With her loan she plans to buy products for the earth, seeds and small farming tools, and to pay the labour costs for the upkeep of one hectare.
After the harvest, she will sell the production in the village and in Dah to a mixed clientele.
She hopes to make an average profit of 47 500FCFA at the end of the season.
This profit will enable her to repay her loan and also to assist her husband with the daily expenses.
