New Africa Group's story

Hassan T., age 59, is married and has four children (ages 29, 25, 22, and 15). He has been selling empty bottles for 3 years now. He works from 8am to 5pm daily, and he makes about $292 per month.

He hopes to get a loan from Tujijenge Tanzania to increase his capital so that he can buy more bottles to sell. Hassan will share this loan with his group, New Africa, which has 21 members. These members hold each other accountable for repaying their loans.
