A loan of $2,300 helped to buy fertilizers for the second crop, repair a greenhouse, buy plastic for greenhouses and pay a salary to his workers.

Alexander's story

Alexander is 31 years old and lives in the Vodyanoye village. At one point in time, he worked at a nuclear plant, but the salary was low, and he decided to be exclusively involved in farming. He started with two greenhouses that he got from his wife's parents and grew tomatoes there. The business grew in 6 years, and they saved enough to buy a house. They bought a house last year and built 3 large greenhouses on their land and installed heating for them. This year, Alexander bought a more powerful boiler and moved the old one to his parents land. To-date, Alexander has been involved in growing vegetables on his own land for 10 years. He has five heated greenhouses. He works on plots of land - his and a second one given by his parents. Alexander primarily grows tomatoes and cucumbers.

Alexander wants to use the sum of 30 000 hryvnia to buy fertilizers for the second crop, repair a greenhouse, buy plastic for greenhouses and pay a salary to his workers. With time, Alexander wants to expand his business and build more greenhouses. In the near future, he plans to build two additional greenhouses. Alexander is active, hardworking and loves to achieve everything on his own.
