A loan of $825 helped to pay for spare parts and maintenance of her tricycle unit.

Rodema's story

This is Rodema, 37, a resident of Silang, Cavite Philippines. She is married to Joey, an operator and she is a mother to their children. She and her husband manage their own household. At this time, she is working hard to continually provide income for her everyday expenses.

Rodema oversees and owns a tricycle transportation business. They have one tricycle that carries up to four passengers to their destination within the community. The tricycle driver then remits a boundary (daily quota) each day to her. In her business the regular customers are the local community. She earns a minimum of PHP 500 every day.

To help her continue operations of her business, she is requesting a PHP 35,000 loan. She will be utilizing the loan to buy spare parts, accessories and also for the maintenance of their motorcycle.

Rodema dreams of having another tricycle to use in their business and hopes to give her children a good life and education. She meets up with her co-fellowship members to share stories of her work every week and where she can also draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God she studies.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and pay Micro Finance loans.
