A loan of $1,150 helped to pay for spare parts, accessories and maintenance of her jeepney.

Lucia's story

Lucia owns and operates a jeepney unit. She has been successful in this business for five years, and she repaid her previous loan. She also finds ways to improve her income by managing and maintaining a piggery, which also helps to provide her family's everyday needs.

Lucia would like to take a new loan to buy spare parts and accessories for the vehicle and also to buy more pigs and feed needed in her piggery. She is requesting 50,000 PHP for the specific needs of her businesses. Lucia is shown in the photo with her piggery.

In the future, Lucia hopes to increase her profit and further improve her businesses. She only desires good health and a sufficient living for her family. She meets up with her co-fellowship members to share stories of her work every week, and she can also draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God that she studies.

* All CCT community partners/clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and pay microfinance loans.
