A loan of $475 helped to pay for grocery items, toiletries and beverages needed in her business.

Lilia's story

Lilia has faithfully paid back her previous loan which she used for her business. She has been operating her own “sari-sari” (variety) store for years and she earns well from this. Having a bigger family requires more effort to provide for their needs, especially for her children. She has to work hard, determined to earn a good income to provide her children with a better education.

To improve sales, Lilia would like to apply for a new loan to purchase additional grocery goods to sell. With the PHP 20,000 loan, she could purchase more quantities and varieties of grocery items, toiletries and beverages needed in her business. She sincerely expresses her heartfelt thanks and appreciation for this assistance in advance.

In the future, Lilia hopes that her business will continue to flourish. She wants her family to be always healthy and in good condition. She meets up with her co-fellowship* members to share stories of her life and business every week and also draws strength and inspiration from the fellowship and the Word of God she studies.

*All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and repay Micro Finance loans.
