Gerly's story

Gerly is 45 years old, married, and has seven children. Five of her children are in school. Gerly works hard to provide for her family. She runs a general store in the Philippines. She has been running the general store for two years and also earns an income from farming rice. Gerly requested a PHP 12,000 loan through Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation in order to purchase more groceries to sell. Gerly has borrowed and repaid four loans from NWTF before this loan. Gerly aspires to save enough money to expand her business and continue to send her children to college.
