A loan of $2,375 helped to purchase clay flowerpots and paint.

Gabriela's story

Gabriela is a very serious and responsible girl, very dedicated to her business. She is 27 years old, single, and still lives with her parents. She says that since she was very young, her father brought her to sell furniture in other places outside the community. This was her first exposure to the merchant life.

For the past eight years, Gaby, as she is called with love, has worked purchasing clay flowerpots to later decorate and sell. Gaby would like to make the flowerpots herself, but at the moment she doesn't have the necessary resources. This time she asks for a loan to purchase merchandise and paints for decorating. She explains that in only four simple steps, her flowerpots are perfect. First she applies a white base, then the decoration with paint in a variety of colors and a lot of imagination, later she applies the sealant, and finally oil which makes the decoration last much longer.

Gaby's challenge is that when she travels to distant locations to sell her flowerpots it is impossible to carry enough merchandise without having to make additional trips. However, Gaby is very happy and grateful to Kiva and VisionFund México for the opportunity to get a loan because it will help her contribute to her business's growth and she will be able to improve her quality of life.
