Florence's story

Greetings from Bulawayo, the second largest city in Zimbabwe. Florence is 37 years old and married with one child who is attending school. She has run a retail shop selling clothing and footwear for 11 years and has two employees to assist her. Florence also rears poultry for sale. Her main challenge has been a lack of working capital which makes her unable to meet customer needs.

She has requested a $2,250 loan to buy clothing, footwear and poultry feed. She says the income realized as a result of this loan will help pay for household expenses. In the future, Florence would like to operate more retail shops and increase the output of her poultry project.
