She is involved in the agricultural business of pig fattening in the Philippines. Ma. Lira requested a 14,000 PHP (Philippine Pesos) loan through NWTF (Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation, Inc.) to buy feed and vitamins for her pigs.
Ma. Lira has been in the pig fattening business for eight years now, and has borrowed four times in the past from NWTF to sustain it.
In the future, she would like to save money to expand her business.
