A loan of $175 helped buying Materials.

Heran Kor's story

Heran Kor, who is Indian-Afghan and a citizen of Afghanistan, lives in district 2 of Kabul. She is 33 and married.

Heran Kor was taught knitting and embroidery from her grandmother and has continued her business from her. She took a loan to improve her business and buy thread, scarfs and a machine.

She said: 'I have had lots of customers during this period and I believe that I can produce the best quality with new designs in the bazaar. Because of that my clients and neighbours want to buy my work.'

She does not have enough materials - otherwise she would open a shop in her alley - but she hopes to receive a 2nd cycle loan so she can open a new shop.
