A loan of $750 helped to pay for grocery items for resale.

Pios's story

This is 37-year-old Pios from Chipinge, a town in eastern Zimbabwe. He is married with two children, one attending school. He also cares for two other dependents.

Pios runs a retail business selling cooking oil, soft drinks, soap and other grocery items. The business has been in operation for nine years. He says the main challenge faced is lack of adequate financing to improve his stock.

Pios has requested a loan of $750 to buy grocery items for resale. He says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow him to add more stock and improve his financial base and hence put aside more savings for the family. In the future Pios plans to buy a truck to ease transport problems.
