Heriberto's story

Young Heriberto Ulloa is 24 years old and lives with his mother who grows coffee in Siguatepeque, Comayagua. Currently, he is in his final year studying agricultural engineering at the National School of Forest Sciences. Heriberto considers himself a honest, formal, responsible, intelligent and enterprising young man when confronting the daily challenges of living with high expectations of improving himself and developing towards the future. His primary motivation to finish his academic studies is to have a higher education degree, which will empower his knowledge and, in turn, he will be able to develop himself in a professional way in the business environment. Heriberto wants to contribute to his country's development, through the protection and sustainable management of the natural and renewable resources such as promoting reforestation and creating personal greenhouses which generate income for family well-being. Since he was a boy, he has wanted to work conserving the environment and its natural species. He is happy to be able to do what he has always desired. He believes that student support through loans helps the economy of each family. In his plans, Heriberto wants to become a successful businessman, independently able to contribute to the sources of employment that these days is very difficult in Honduras.
