A loan of $5,925 helped to source parts and test his product.

Raymond's story

When Raymond suffered a serious injury, he realized that the traditional first aid kit is lacking technology that allows people to easily and efficiently analyze an injury, alert the appropriate facilities, and handle the injury to the best of their abilities until the paramedics arrive. A molecular biologist from Ghana, Raymond decided to use his expertise to create a solution. Raymond established CuraKit, and is launching his first product, the “Mobile External Diagnostic Integrated Kit” (MeDiK).

MeDiK is a mobile electronic device that can be used as a first aid response. It essentially combines several first-responder resources into one device. The compact device will be used to record and provide information at the scene of an emergency. It will be able to take blood samples, provide oxygen, locate nearby emergency personnel, and will contain medical supplies such as gauze.

“I wish to use my quantitative strengths to design products that meet the needs of the sporting industry and families.”

However, in order to complete his vision, Raymond needs to source parts and test his product. Help Raymond improve his product so that he is able to help save lives.
