A loan of $500 helped to buy agricultural supplies for her coffee crops.

Suyapa's story

Suyapa is a very tenacious and enterprising woman. She is grateful for the different loans that she has received since May of 2013 in order to be able to care for and maintain her coffee crops. They have helped to grow and strengthen her land, the harvest, and the family income in a peaceful way without worries.

She used her first loan to buy agricultural supplies that helped protect and maintain her coffee crops. In that time the rust was propagating very rapidly among the different crops and damaging the crops of many producers.

Her second loan was also requested for the care of the crops because after the pruning, the plants were left poorly treated and deteriorated. She did get good income from her coffee crops, which she sold for a very good price in the market in spite of the drop in the market.

This time she is again requesting support from the different Kiva lenders to be able to buy the needed supplies and care for her coffee crops. This is because they are in the production process in this new season.
