A loan of $475 helped to buy stationary products and other general store items.

Esperanza's story

Esperanza is 39 years old. She lives in a town close to the city of Barranquilla, where she has a general store that mainly sells stationary products.

She started her business 8 years ago when she noticed that this type of business did not exist in the neighborhood where she lives. With her savings, she decided to start it. The main products that she offers are stationary items to satisfy the demands of the schools that the children in the area attend. She conducts her sales in cash from Monday to Saturday from 9 in the morning until 9 at night. She buys the items in cash at wholesale in order to obtain the best prices.

Her goal is to increase the size of her business and to improve her quality of life. Her greatest challenge is having enough working capital to achieve her goals. She is currently requesting a CrediKiva, which she will use to buy stationary products and other general store items. With this, her business will have a large inventory with which she will attract new customers, improving her business with this loan.
