Agape 3 Group
The loan that is being requested will benefit this small group of entrepreneurs, where Aminatu is a member. She mentions that this is the sixth time she has worked with ID-Ghana. She joined because of an invitation from a client of the institution that visited her at her home. Currently she has a business selling cosmetics which she started many years ago. She learned how to sell cosmetics from her mother, and when she got married she decided to use this trade as a way to make money.
The requested loan is to buy cosmetics at wholesale to then sell to customers. This work allows her to generate the means to support her family, as she lives in a common-law marriage and has four children.
When asked what she likes about ID-Ghana, she stated that she likes the life assurance the institution offers.

This is a Group Loan
In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
Kiva's Field Partners typically feature one borrower from a group. The loan description, sector, and other attributes for a group loan profile are determined by the featured borrower's loan. The other members of the group are not required to use their loans for the same purpose.
