Gladys's story

Gladys is married and has four children, all of whom attend school and are working. They own a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is school fees for the family.

For the past seven years, she has operated a dried fish selling business, selling from home to her neighbours and passersby. In addition she also does farming which earns her another source of livelihood. She faces a major challenge of seasonality in her business. She dreams of becoming a major supplier of dried fish in the near future.

With the Kshs 30,000 she wants to purchase 2 sacks of dried fish for resale. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
