A loan of $1,950 helped to buy saltpeter and hold field work in order to grow ecologically clean vegetables.

Guldar's story

Guldar is 34 years old, married and raising 4 children together with her husband. Guldar has a secondary education and, to provide the primary source of income for her family, has been involved in farming for over 10 years. Thanks to Guldar's persistence, drive and hard work, today she has 1.07 hectares of owned land, inclusive of a fruit orchard and garden, where she grows various vegetables and fruits, such as rice, tobacco, corn and wheat. The monthly income from selling ecologically clean agricultural produce to wholesale buyers amounts to about 10,000 som (KGS). Guldar requested a loan in the amount of 100,000 som (KGS) from the "Bai-Tushum" Bank to buy saltpeter and hold field work. Guldar intends to expand her business, which would certainly lead to increasing the family's capital.
