Suwartha is the leader of Janma Bhumi Group and lives in J.K.Pur in the district of Rayagada, Odisha, India. She is a married woman of 49 years. She has a small family comprising four members: herself, her husband, and also one son and one daughter aged 18 and 31 respectively. The member standing 2nd from left with raised hand is Suwartha.

Like most families in the locality, she and her husband are running a grocery shop in J.K.Pur town. She sells rice, dal, tea, sugar, chocolate, etc., in her shop. She is a very active lady who wants some extra income out of her own efforts. Suwartha’s husband is assisting her to run the business smoothly by purchasing grocery items from the nearby town. At present her family income is INR 5,000 per month from the grocery shop, which is not sufficient to maintain her family.

To improve her living conditions and to earn some extra income, she wants to avail a loan from Mahashakti. From the loan amount, she will purchase grocery items in bulk quantity to avail a cash discount and also save transportation costs, which she incurs frequently. She has a dream to have a wholesale shop in the town and educate her children in a better college in the town.

The other three members of her group are doing individual business.
