A loan of $650 helped working capital.

Jessica Lynn's story

This enterprising woman is Jessica Lynn P. Juárez; she is 30 year old, single, and has one child, a 12 year old boy who is in his first year of high school. One of her goals is to give her child a better future with respect to his education. Another of her goals is to keep both of her businesses: a grocery store she runs from her home and a kiosk located at the entrance of the University of León. She manages both businesses and thanks to these she has made improvements to their housing so that in the future she will be able to provide a worthy home for herself as well as for her son.

She has owned the business for 5 years, and works selling soft drinks and beer. She began by using her intuition and experimented with which products would best sell outside her home and generate income for her family, starting with a few products, such as candies, cookies, and soft drinks. Her customers gave her positive feedback and this is how she has decided that she must ask for working capital to invest in more products which she must source from companies such as Coca-Cola and others so that young Jessica can offer a variety of products to her clients. She appreciates working with Fundación León 2000 and its partner organizations so that she can carry out her plans.
